Before Submitting an Adoption






No Required Materials

  • What does No Required Material mean?
    • It means that no items need to be purchased or acquired by the student for the course
    • Examples of Adoptions: Inclusive Access, Printed Projects, Kits, Physical books, eBooks/Access Codes, Supplies (notebooks, binders, calculator, goggles)

PSEO Students

  • PSEO students only receive required material under the PSEO Program
  • PSEO students do not place their own orders
  • If they need to purchase required materials that are not available in the Textbook Depot they will need to submit for reimbursement
  • How do PSEO Students submit for reimbursement?
    • Download a digital copy of the receipt (PDF)
    • Attach the receipt to an email to be sent to the instructor to request their signature to verify that the supplies are required for the course
    • Forward the signed receipt to [email protected]
    • Include the following information in the email
      • First name, last name, student ID/Tech ID, and subject, course #, section # of the course that the supplies were purchased for

Recommendation Codes

  • Choose 1 ONLY - are always required material but the student chooses the format they would like to receive the textbook in 

 

Recommendation Code Definition
RQ - Required Material Material is required for the course
Note: PSEO students only receive Required Material
RE - Recommended Material is Recommended for the course
IA - Inclusive Access Online material available through D2L the first day of class. The fee is included when you register for courses
IO - Inclusive Access Optional LL A print version of the Inclusive Access online material
OE - Optional eBook An optional online version of the textbook
OP - Optional Textbook A optional print version of the textbook 
C1 - Choose 1 Only - Textbook  A print version of the textbook, which may include an access code 
C2 - Choose 1 Only - eBook An online version of the textbook, which comes on a physical scratch off card or there is a link available to purchase through VitalSource or the publisher
C3 - Choose 1 Only - Loose-leaf A loose-leaf version of the textbook, which may include an access code
C4 - Choose 1 Only - Rental A rental only option of the textbook, which may not be purchased and must be returned by the rental due date
C5 - Choose 1 Only - Package Includes multiple items that are bundled together. Ex. access code + textbook, textbook + workbook
C6 - Choose 1 Only - Access Code An online access code for course material. This will not be bundled with or come with a physical textbook
