Spring 2025 Rental/PSEO Returns


When:

  • May 12th - 16th: 8:00am - 4:00pm,
  • May 19th - 22nd: 8:00am - 4:00pm,
  • May 23rd: 8:00am - 12:00pm,
  • May 27th - 8:00am - 4:00pm,

 

Where:

  • Textbook Depot: Ground floor of Kopp Student Center.
    • Here during our 2 week return period? Follow the signs near the Textbook Depot for the appropriate return room. 
  • Suggested entrance: Enter from Collegeview Road, park in Parking Lot 3. Enter college at door number 23.
  • Having trouble finding us? Ask any one of our helpful Normandale staff members at any info desk on campus. 

 

What to bring:

  • Your Rental/PSEO materials,
  • Your Normandale Student ID card or any state ID (driver's license, permit, etc.)
  • Will someone be returning your materials on your behalf? Let them know to bring your Normandale TechID number or StarID, as well as their own driver's license or other state ID card.

 

Alternative Return Options: 

  • NEW after-hours drop box located @ Textbook Depot
  • Anyone may return your rental/PSEO materials on your behalf.
  • You may also mail your returns at your own cost:
    • Postmarked by May 27th, 2025.
    • Include your name, Student ID/Tech ID number, and contact information. If students do not provide their contact information when returning their textbooks, we will be unable to associate the returned books with their accounts.

    • Please note, the Textbook Depot is not liable for any damages that may have occurred during transit. If textbook(s) are found damaged, disputes can be made with the mail carrier.

 

Important Book Return Information:

  • Rental/PSEO students receive a "return slip" sent to their Normandale student email addresses several weeks the semester ends.
    • This lists all materials that are required to be returned, and the cost you will be charged if they are not returned.
  • Unreturned and/or damaged materials will incur charges and late fees.
  • We will only be accepting Spring 2025 Rentals and PSEO materials.
    • Rental or PSEO materials from any other semesters cannot be accepted.
  • All rental/PSEO course materials must be returned in resalable condition. Books with water/liquid damage, torn pages/covers, excessive writing/highlighting, etc. will be considered damaged.
    • Liquid damaged books will not be accepted, as this type of damage cannot be repaired.
  • Unreturned and/or damaged books will lead to fees placed on your eServices account, which could result in registration holds if they are not addressed within the allotted time.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Exceptions to our book return policy can only be granted for students with prior permission or extraordinary circumstances.

 

What is Considered a Damaged Book?

If you receive any used book and are concerned about being charged for damage from a previous user, please reach out to the Textbook Depot ASAP so a replacement may be issued if necessary.

 

  • Water/liquid staining of any kind,
  • Torn pages,
  • Torn or bent covers,
  • Excessive writing and/or highlighting (more than needed for studying, drawing on pages, etc.),
  • Bent, torn, or otherwise broken bindings,
