FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CAMPUS STORE AND THE TEXTBOOK DEPOT?
The Campus Store (K1430) is located on the first floor of the Kopp Student Center, and is the place to buy supplies, clothing, technology, food, drinks and everything needed except for textbooks.

The Textbook Depot (K0430) is located on the ground floor of the Kopp Student Center. Please go online to the Bookstore Website or call 952-358-9251 for inquiries about textbooks and 952-358-9250 for the Campus Store.
HOW DO I BUY MY TEXTBOOKS?
Textbooks can be purchased online by clicking here. A bookstore account must be created first in order to purchase books. Orders placed online can be picked up on campus or shipped domestically for $10 (no international shipping).

Online orders will immediately receive an e-mail confirmation with the order number and that the order was received for processing. Once the order has been processed and is ready to be picked up or shipped out the account used for the purchase will be charged and another confirmation e-mail will be sent with a link to schedule an appointment to pick up the order or with the UPS tracking number. No charge will occur until the online order is ready. Please wait for the second e-mail to schedule an appointment for pickup before coming in to pickup an order. A photo ID is required to pickup all orders and does not have to be picked up by the student.

Returns for refunds are allowed until the first business day after the second week of the start of the Fall or Spring semesters. Purchases after the end of the second week of the Fall or Spring semesters are only returnable by the next business day of the purchase. Summer semester textbooks are only returnable the first business day after the first week of the semester and purchases after the first will will needs to be returned by the next business day.
WHAT IS THE BOOKSTORE DOING TO DECREASE TEXTBOOK PRICES FOR STUDENTS?
The bookstore encourages faculty to adopt and use open textbooks. We provide students the option to compare our prices with a number of other outlets like Amazon and Chegg through Verba Compare (found here). As of Fall 2017, we've begun our Digital Access initiative, which provides course materials directly through D2L at a significantly reduced rate. More information on Digital Access can be found below.
ARE USED TEXTBOOKS AVAILABLE FOR MY CLASS?

Excess financial aid can be used to purchase numerous other items including school supplies, computers, software, cameras, etc. available in the bookstore and/or through this website. Financial aid cannot be used to purchase clothing or food items. Please note that you will physically have to sign a form authorizing the use of the excess financial aid. Yes, see our listing here.
I FORGOT TO RETURN MY RENTAL TEXTBOOKS BY THE DEADLINE. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
If rental textbooks are not returned by the listed deadline, students will be charged the difference between that textbook's rental price and its purchase price, plus an unreturned fee. The student will then own that textbook and can do with it what they please, including selling it back to the Textbook Depot or a third party to recoup some of its value.
WHAT IS DIGITAL ACCESS?
Through partnerships with several publishers, we can now provide course materials directly through D2L, eliminating the need for one-time-use access codes and long waits in line, all while providing savings. Students are provided a two week trial after which they can either opt in and have the cost of the materials added to their tuition statement or opt out and acquire a physical textbook.
